Legal hardships often serve as a barrier for people who are homeless, hindering their ability to access housing and the other crucial services that enable them to escape homelessness. At the same time, nonprofits serving those in need may have limited resources available to contend with their own organizational legal issues.

When the homeless and nonprofits struggle to move forward, our communities suffer. Donations of any size support the Clearinghouse's many pro bono legal programs, which connect vulnerable people and service organizations with free attorneys and provide innovative educational programs for the nonprofit sector.

Donors who make gifts of $1000 or more within a calendar year will automatically join the Lawers Clearinghouse Cornerstones, our giving society comprising generous donors who have uplifted the Clearinghouse with contributions that enable us to sustain our work on a long-term basis.
